Our 3 dogs and 5 cats stayed here at the beginning of January for a week. I was extremely nervous about leaving them but they were so well looked after. They truly seemed to have a lovely time and although happy to see us when we got back they certainly weren’t desperate to leave the lovely ladies looking after them. It was such an amazing relief to see that they were treated so wonderfully and we really enjoyed seeing the photos and videos posted on Facebook whilst we were away. We’ve already booked them in for our next time away and although I’ll miss them it will be good to know they are in such safe and gentle hands.

Deffo, just picked our Timmy up after a 18 days stay. At 11 years old and suffering from small dog syndrome they survived him! Thank you for taking good care of him, he will be back next year x

We only trust the caring staff here to look after our 1 year old sprocker. They give him plenty of cuddles and exercise as well as care for his grain free diet. Coco comes home so happy after his stays, they are amazing x

The caring owners and staffWill always offer to show you round as nothing to hide.Staff to pets ratio good.They actually love the pets in their care.Very clean.My greyhound has a habit of occasionally weeing on his bed.They put a note asking staff to check his bedding and if need be wash it.I have used kennels a lot in past 2yrs and will continue.

100% recommend it here, our dog Bert gets so excited as we enter the gates of ladybird and cry’s to get out of the car, when he sees the amazing staff here his tail is wagging ten to the dozen and he can’t wait to go off with them and have fun. It’s so good for us because we can enjoy our holiday knowing he is enjoying his xx

Terms & Conditions

We will be pleased to accept animals for boarding on the following basis :

  1. - That the animal's owner warrants that the animal is in fit and sound condition.
  2. - The animal's owner confirms that Dogs and Cats annual booster injection has been administered within the last 12 months or at least 7 days prior to boarding. Relevant certificates must be produced, at every stay, for inspection to Ladybird Kennels before any animal will be accepted for boarding. OPTIONAL KENNEL COUGH INTRANASAL VACCINE FOR DOGS if administered must be a minimum of 6 weeks prior to boarding. If this condition is not adhered to, the dog will be refused entry to Ladybird Kennels and the deposit forfeited.
  3. - In the event of injury to or illness of a cat or dog, Ladybird Kennels will instruct your designated veterinary surgeon. Costs thereof will be met by Pet Plan Insurance Scheme under their Terms and Conditions (premium included in boarding fee). Under these Terms & Conditions, all claims must be submitted within 72 hours of the animal leaving the Kennels (full details available at Reception).
  4. - In the event of injury or illness of any animal that is not a cat or dog, a Veterinary Surgeon may be called in. All costs incurred in this connection and in the carrying out of his instructions, shall be at the owner's expense.
  5. - The animal's owner accepts and agrees that whilst every care and attention is given to the animal(s), they are accepted by Ladybird Kennels at the owners risk.  This includes 2 or more pets sharing accommodation and/or exercising together, HOWEVER any injury caused by the sharing pets is not covered under the kennel insurance. Also, belongings (such as toys, blankets, beds, leads, collars, feeding bottles, bowls, carriers and cages) are also left at the owner's risk.
  6. - When a booking is made, a fixed date on which the owner will collect the animal will be agreed. If the owner wishes to collect the animal before that date, they may do so but will remain liable to pay boarding fees up to the agreed collection date.
  7. - Ladybird Kennels reserve the right to dispose of any animal not collected within 14 days from the date of collection, agreed in the paragraph above.
  8. - Any arrivals or departures out of working hours without prior arrangement will incur an OUT OF HOURS CHARGE of £50.00
  9. - All rates are daily, levied from and including the day of arrival up to and including the day of departure. An overnight stay will therefore be charged as 2 days. Boarding fees will be charged at prevailing rate at time of departure. Owners must settle their accounts in full before the animal is removed.
  10. - Cheque or debit/credit card payments for a sum less than £10 will not be accepted due to bank charges.Cheques will not be accepted for the payment of outstanding balances at the end of pets stay. Owners will be liable for any additional costs Ladybird Kennels may incur in the event of a dishonoured cheque.
  11. - A Minimum Peak Season Rate of 5 Days Boarding for Cats & Dogs will apply for the month of August.
  12. - PLEASE NOTE: Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day, will all be charged at double rate.
  13. - No booking shall be fully accepted until a booking form and a 50% deposit has been received by Ladybird Kennels, who in return shall issue a receipt.
  14. - If a booking is cancelled or altered, deposits will be returned or transferred only if written cancellation or alteration is received 21 days before the intended arrival date.
  15. - A cancellation of a booking will result in an administration fee of £5 being charged.
  16. - Ladybird Kennels reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time as it sees fit. Any changes to these terms and conditions will be posted on this website, you are therefore advised to re read this statement on a regular basis.
